Two Yorkville Middle School seventh grade students have been charged with battery after a physical altercation on school grounds, Yorkville police said.

In a statement, police said they and Yorkville Middle School administrators were informed of the incident at 12:41 p.m. April 6 in which two seventh grade students were involved in a physical altercation on school grounds.

Neither student required medical attention. After the investigation, both students were charged with battery, police said.
