Oswego senior Kiyah Chavez, an Iowa softball commit, became the first state medalist in the school girls wrestling program's history on Saturday when she took second at 155 pounds at Grossinger Motors Arena in Bloomington.

Oswego East's Quinn Janssens has enjoyed a spectacular sophomore season, carrying a 48-3 record after winning regional and sectional championships. Now she's set for her state tournament debut in Bloomington.

Oswego East hosted a girls wrestling tournament on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025 in Oswego.

Sophie Kelner was among five Lockport girls to take home individual titles as the Porters won the team championship of Oswego East's Aaron Dudley Memorial Girls Invite. Woodstock was third, Oswego fourth and Oswego East fifth in the 24-team field.
