GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Yorkville Christian d. 25-15, 25-21 Earlville

The Mustangs bounced back from their first loss, to West Chicago, to beat Earlville 25-15, 25-21. Nina Schuberth had eight kills, 11 assists and two aces, Chloe Saxe four kills and seven assists and Zoe Schuberth seven digs and three assists. Luisa Andrade had five kills and Chloe Tickel six service points.

Sandwich’s boys cross country team took eighth at the 29-team Lisle Mane Invite. Max Cryer was 24th in 17:14 and Wyatt Miller 32nd in 17:31 to lead the Indians. Hudson Wills was 80th in 18:25 and Dayton Beatty 86th in 18:35. On the girls side Molly Roberts was 141st in 24:18.

At the Southwest Prairie Conference tournament the No. 4 doubles team of Natalia Maldonado and Jadien Pattermann took fourth and the No. 2 doubles team of Aliesha Peterson and Paige Phillips took first.
