BOYS CROSS COUNTRY

The Indians took first place at the Dale Donner Invite. Sandwich’s Max Cryer was 12th in 17:28, Wyatt Miller was 20th in 17:45, Dayton Beatty was 26th in 18:05, Josefh Hernandez 32nd in 18:13 and Hudson Wills 38th in 18:24.

The Indians finished sixth out of 19 teams at the Dale Donner Invite. Joanna Rivera was 22nd in 20:54, Hannah Treptow 40th in 22:10, Erin Lissman 42nd in 22:14 and Molly Roberts 58th in 23:08.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Yorkville

The Foxes went 3-1 in the Bradley Bourbonnais Tournament, beating Herscher 25-10, 25-14, Bradley Bourbonnais 25-10, 25-19 and Streator 25-10, 26-12 and lost against Rock Falls.

Janelle Pye-Blacknard had 21 kills, four aces and 17 digs for Yorkville (15-3). Ella Bourque had nine kills, 50 assists, 12 aces and 20 digs, Saige Avery 20 kills, 27 assists and five aces and Grace Lindgren 24 digs and three aces

Newark

Newark (13-4) went 3-2 at the Mt. Pulaski Tournament. The Lady Norsemen beat Williamsville 25-20, 25-12, Macomb 24-26, 25-18, 15-13 and Decatur Lutheran 25-18, 25-22 and lost to Eastland 25-16, 25-19 and Lena-Winslow 15-25, 25-18, 15-11.

Sandwich took eighth out of 16 teams at the Fran Noyes Invitational at Swan Hills in Belvidere. In the Stableford scoring system Sandwich’s Michael Barbey scored 21 points, Noah Campbell 22, Sam Dawson 15 and Nick Sullivan 13.
