BOYS BASKETBALL

Yorkville Christian 88, Harvest Christian 48

KJ Vasser poured in a career-high 34 points and Jaden Schutt added 23 for the Mustangs. Tyler Burrows added 13 and Elijah Fisher eight.

Yorkville 44, Plainfield Central 41

Ryan Shimp scored a team-high 17 points, and Yorkville held Joliet Central to just two points in the fourth quarter.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Joliet Central 49, Yorkville 32

Kenzie Senffner, Madi Beetham and Alex Stewart each scored seven points for the Foxes, who held Joliet Central scoreless in the fourth quarter. Yorkville honored its seven seniors: Beetham, Ellie Maaske, Anyia Price, Marissa Samuel, Senffner, Anna Titus, and Hannah Zitt on Senior Night.

Oswego 56, Plainfield Central 32

Mia Moore scored 15 points with three 3-pointers, and added six rebounds and five assists to lead the Panthers. Brooke Tennent added 12 points and nine rebounds, Courtney Willig nine rebounds, McKenna Engler seven points and six rebounds, Kaila Schlinger nine points with two 3-pointers and six rebounds and Kaisje’ Pryor seven points.

Oswego East 64, Romeoville 57

Riley Doggett scored 18 points, 16 coming in the second half, and the Wolves rallied from down seven points at the end of the third quarter and scored the final seven points of the game. Lauren Shea had a basket and helped the Wolves go 10-for-11 at the free-throw line in a 23-7 run.

Katie Jorgensen and Maddie Stockley each added 13 points and Shea had eight points, 12 rebounds and four blocks for Oswego East (2-5).

Kaneland 62, Plano 37

Ryssa Woodhouse, Alina Martinez and Faith Malloy each scored eight points for the Lady Reapers (1-8, 0-7).

Senior Liam Fitzpatrick led the way for Oswego East with a 626 series. Juniors John Koutsogiannis (532), Nick Panozzo (579), and Cameron Sather (539) also scored big in the contest.

Oswego East JV won 2,655–1,957 behind the strength of a double, two-handed threat of junior Tommy Thiltgen (568) and Sophomore, Shaun Nano (560), both who logged five strikes in a row.
