American Legion Riders Post #181 from Sandwich was the first stop in the 20th annual Big Thunder Run on Aug. 29. This run was sponsored by Rolling Thunder of Illinois. Participants registered at the Montgomery VFW and traveled to the first stop to the Sandwich VFW. American Legion Rider members along with Sandwich VFW and American Legion members welcomed participants to their post, displayed their new tent and offered refreshments in an air conditioned building on that hot day. Proceeds from the ride went to POW/MIA Awareness, Veteran’s Suicides and Assistance.
