NAMI KDK hosting Saturday Coffee program Feb. 23

Officer Douglas Rashkow’s presentation on “Crisis Intervention Training” will be held during NAMI KDK’s Saturday Coffee from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 23.

The program will take place at Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital, 300 Randall Road, Geneva, Building 351 in conference room 1, 2, 3.

Topics will include crisis intervention skills, de-escalating a crisis, tips to resolve conflict and mental health resources. Officer Rashkow is Crisis Intervention Training liaison at the Aurora Police Department.

NAMI Kane-south, DeKalb & Kendall Counties (NAMI KDK), an affiliate of National Alliance on Mental Illness, sponsors this Saturday Coffee presentation. The public is welcome to attend NAMI KDK free Saturday Coffees for light refreshments and to learn what NAMI KDK offers in mental health education, advocacy and support for families and individuals living with mental health issues.
