Geneva swiped 10 bags on the way to a 12-1 win over Belvidere North and Wheaton Academy saw its season end to Boylan in the Class 3A Sycamore Sectional semifinals Wednesday.

St. Charles North faces Huntley in an IHSA Baseball Class 4A Sectional Semifinal on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at McHenry High School in McHenry.

The Geneva High School baseball team took on Belvidere North Wednesday in a Class 3A sectional semifinal at the Sycamore Community Sports Complex.

The Interstate 8 named three girls soccer MVPs: Kaneland's Erin Doucette, Ottawa's Chloe Carmona and Sycamore's Izzie Segreti. Co-champs Sycamore and Kaneland each had five all-conference selections, Ottawa had three, La Salle-Peru and Morris had two and Rochelle had one.

Ottawa's Adam Swanson was named the Interstate 8 MVP as Pirates and co-champ Kaneland each had six selections. Sycamore and Morris had three selections each, La Salle-Peru had two and Rochelle had one. Every team had one honorable mention.

Lemont tallied a 3-0 victory over Geneva in the Class 2A Kankakee Supersectional on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, to advance to the IHSA State Finals this weekend.

Hayden Sujack ended her high school career with her 60th career home run, accounting for the lone hit and run for St. Charles East in a 10-1 loss to Marist in the Rosemont Class 4A Supersectional.

Bennett Konkey secured the first state titles in Geneva history after winning both the Class 3A 100- and 200-meter dash, while Aurora Central Catholic's 4x800 won the Class 2A state title, its first in the event since 1979.
