Batavia Chamber welcomes Tapville Social, a new self-pour beverage station

Tapville located in North Aurora’s My Place Hotel

BATAVIA – The Batavia Chamber of Commerce celebrated the opening of a Tapville Social self-pour beverage station at Chamber member My Place Hotel, 1000 Kilbery Lane, North Aurora, on July 15.

According to a news release, North Aurora Mayor Mark Gaffino presided over the celebration, along with Frank Corti, general manager of My Place Hotel. Other attendees included Julie Schwarz, representing the owners of the North Aurora My Place Hotel, and Jeanne Sawtell, member services and event coordinator of the Geneva Chamber of Commerce.

Other attendees were Shirley Mott, Batavia chamber communications and membership coordinator, Cort Carlson, executive director of the Aurora Area CVB, ambassadors and friends.

The Tapville Social concept allows My Place Hotel to offer a selection of alcoholic beverages on site without having a bartender. Consumers visit the front desk attendant, who checks their I.D. and then issues a Pour Pass card that is either pre-paid or connected to a credit card. The patron then selects and pours their beverage of choice, the release stated.

The event space, complete with the Tapville Social kiosk, is available to rent. Contact My Place Hotel at 630-0256-8485 to learn more and book the space.
