For the second consecutive season, Geneva and St. Charles North went back and forth before ending their game in a 2-2 tie.

Junior Connor Verde scored two goals, including the eventual game-winner in the 48th minute, to help Batavia snap a 28-game winless streak with a 4-2 victory over Kaneland.

Geneva converted on a corner kick, free kick, penalty kick and throw in to come away with a 4-0 victory in its season opener against Marmion.
