Batavia boys soccer senior Connor Verde, who scored two goals to help Batavia to a 4-2 victory over Kaneland, their first in 28 games, was voted as the Kane County Chronicle Athlete of the Week.

For the second consecutive season, Geneva and St. Charles North went back and forth before ending their game in a 2-2 tie.
