Geneva police have asked the public to avoid Bricher Road west of Randall Road Friday afternoon because of a crash described as severe.

Bricher is closed between Peck and Camden roads, police said, because of the crash that occurred at about 2 p.m Friday.

The road was expected to be closed for a few hours, possibly affecting the evening commute, as police, fire and emergency management crews and the Kane County Accident Reconstruction Team work the scene.
