Streator’s Burger King has closed permanently after serving its final customers last week.

A sign posted at the restaurant Monday announced the closure, although a reason for shutting down was not provided.

Officials with Burger King were not immediately available for comment Monday afternoon.

“Thank you for allowing us to be part of your community,” the sign read. “We sincerely appreciate your support and the memories we have shared.”
