Bureau Valley hosts Annawan in showdown for top spot in the Lincoln Trail Conference

Bureau Valley and Annawan are all tied up atop the Lincoln Trail Conference boys basketball standings at 9-0.

Tonight, only one will remain.

The Storm (16-9) and Braves (20-3) will have a showdown for Lincoln Trail supremacy with a 7:30 p.m. tip at the Storm Cellar tonight.

Bureau Valley, which travels to Hall for a Saturday showdown, will have a final LTC game remaining at Monmouth United (15-10, 5-4) on Tuesday, Feb. 11.

The Braves will wrap up conference play at Abingdon-Avon (13-12, 7-2), also on Feb. 11.

In other area boys action tonight:

Princeton (12-12, 5-2) plays at Mendota (17-7, 7-0), Hall (11-11, 2-5) travels to Kewanee (12-14, 2-5) and Newman (12-14, 2-5) plays at Erie-Prophetstown (7-15, 2-5) in the Three Rivers East.

St. Bede (11-14, 3-3) hosts Midland (7-15, 1-4) in the Tri-County Conference.

LaSalle-Peru (11-15, 4-3) hosts rival Ottawa (9-12, 1-6) in an Interstate 8 Conference battle.

Somonauk hosts the Little Ten Conference finals with Somonauk vs. Earlville in the consolation finals at 5 p.m., Newark vs. Serena for third place at 6:30 p.m. and Hinckley-Big Rock vs. Indian Creek in the championship at 8 p.m.
