Somonauk competitive cheer heading to IHSA State Final Competition

With a second-place finish in the Small Team portion of the Joliet West Sectional, Somonauk's competitive cheerleading squad advanced to the IHSA State Final Competition. The team, coached by Kara Anderson, Kennedy Anderson, Ellie Zaleski and MacKenzie Svatek, includes (left to right): Calli Snider, Ella Menard, Eden Shaw, Nevaeh Winckler, Ella Punsalan, Lexi Punsalan and Maddie LeCuye. Somonauk is scheduled to perform at 12:55 p.m. Friday at Bloomington’s Grossinger Motors Arena.
