Sheriff’s office investigates Wyanet death as suspicious

The death of an 18-year-old man found unconscious in the 100 block of East Second Street in Wyanet is being investigated as suspicious, Bureau County Sheriff James Reed said in an email Wednesday.

Reed said the death still is under investigation and there is nothing more he could say at this time.

The teen, Keith Raulerson, was taken to OSF St. Clare in Princeton, where he was pronounced dead Dec. 22, the sheriff’s office said in a Dec. 24 news release.

Police responded about 2:20 p.m. Dec. 21 to find Raulerson. Raulerson’s mother said he was found unresponsive lying on the back patio of his home.

The sheriff’s office is urging anyone with information about Raulerson in the Wyanet area between Dec. 19 and Dec. 21 to come forward. Call the sheriff’s office at 815-875-3344.
