Bureau County Farm Bureau Foundation to offer scholarships to agriculture students

Students must be pursuing a degree in an ag related field

Washington Elementary School fourth graders planted cherry tomatoes at the Wheaton school on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. The plantings are part of the DuPage County Farm Bureau’s Grow Your Own Food project, which plans to include 4,000 fourth graders throughout DuPage County this spring.

The Bureau County Farm Bureau Foundation is offering scholarships to area students majoring in agriculture or an agriculture-related trade, Executive Director Jill Frueh said in a Monday news release.

To be eligible for the scholarships, students must be pursuing a degree in an agricultural-related field, Frueh said in the release.

Separate scholarship applications will be given to those students graduating high school and those students already attending a college or university.

Applications are available at bureaucountyfarmbureau.org under the foundation tab. A link can also be emailed directly if requested.

Applications must be submitted by Feb. 28. For information call the Bureau County Farm Bureau at 815-875-6468.
