Girls basketball

Fieldcrest 69, Fisher 56: At Fisher, the Knights improved to 6-5 overall and 4-1 in Heart of Illinois Conference play with the win over the Bunnies.

Fieldcrest’s Macy Gochanour exploded for a career-high 46, while Pru Mangan added 12 points.

Boys basketball

Lincoln-Way Central 67, Newark 35: At the Plano Christmas Classic, the Norsemen trailed the No. 4-seeded Knights 18-7 after one and 41-19 at halftime.

Dylan Long scored 19 points for Newark, while Cody Kulbartz added nine points and eight rebounds.
