The Illinois Valley Food and Deli in La Salle closed on Saturday, but co-owner Nizar Tharani said there are plans to open with new ownership in about two to three weeks following some structural improvements.

The Illinois Valley Food and Deli, 235 Third St., La Salle, closed Saturday.

A note on the business’s door said the store will reopen with new ownership in about two to three weeks. La Salle Mayor Jeff Grove also posted on his Facebook page he plans on meeting the new owners this week.
