The La Salle County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call for a potentially dangerous person Monday night in rural Streator.

La Salle County Sgt. Aaron Hollenbeck said deputies responded to the residence of an 87-year-old woman who was having a medical issue that put her health and others into danger, including threat of use of a knife.

The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
