Dave and Brenda Janecka of Utica, walk the new path on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Baker Lake in Peru. The project is now complete and the park is back open to the public. Construction work began last October and included a 10-foot-wide concrete path, with secondary concrete paths also added, connecting the new parking lot near Lighted Way to the parking lot, playground, and shelter on the west side of Baker Lake.
