Shechinah Ridley places paczki's inside a box on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2026, in Spring Valley. Paczkis are rich, deep-fried Polish doughnuts traditionally filled with fruit preserves such as plum or rose hip jam and topped with powdered sugar or glaze. The pastries date back to the 1700s, when Polish bakers used up sugars, jellies and other ingredients to create the treats ahead of Lent. (Scott Anderson)
