The Kankakee County outdoor tornado alerting system will be tested Wednesday, according to KanComm 911 telecommunications for Kankakee County.
The test will occur at 10 a.m.
They are verifying that everything works following the March 10 tornado.
KanComm said in a Facebook post that if anyone outside does not hear their community siren, contact your local city, village or municipal officials.
“Your feedback ensures rapid alerts during severe weather,” according to the post.
