DeKALB – A new shoe store is headed to DeKalb.

Shoe Sensation will be opening next month in Northland Plaza at 2516 Sycamore Road in DeKalb, between Ross Dress for Less and Petsmart.

According to the City of DeKalb, the store’s opening is planned for Thursday, Nov. 18.

The store sells shoes for all ages, including athletic, running, casual shoes, boots, sandals and accessories from brands like Adidas, Asics, Hey Dudes, Rocket Dogs and New Balance.

Shoe Sensation, Inc. is headquartered in Jefferson, Indiana. The shoe store has more than 180 stores across 18 states. Other Illinois locations include Centralia, Danville, Dixon, Jacksonville, Kewanee, Litchfield, Marion and Taylorville.

The space in Northland Plaza was once an Atlanta-based furniture chain, Leath Furniture.
