Trysta Foster, sr., OH, Indian Creek

All-area first team

Julia O’Brien, jr., OH, DeKalb - The DuPage Valley Conference all-conference selection racked up 107 kills in 14 matches for the Barbs, which missed two weeks of the already shortened season to a COVID-19 quarantine. Not only an offensive weapon, but she also improved defensively and added a strong serve-receive component for the Barbs.

Maddie Buckley, jr., OH, Kaneland - The player of the year in the Interstate 8, Buckley had 135 kills and 66 digs in 16 matches. She added 16 kills and served at an 82% clip.

Kallie Siebrasse, sr., OH, DeKalb - Heading to Southern Miss to play in the fall, Siebrasse not only provided leadership for the young Barbs, she had 48 kills and 62 digs (second in the DVC) to go with 17 aces. The all-conference selection provided offense even on the back row, coach Nicole Lambert said.

Audrey Witte, soph., OH, Indian Creek - THe sophomore combined with player of the year Trysta Foster at the net to become a force in the Little 10, pushing frequent champion Newark to limit in the title match. She finished with 67 kills, 74 digs and 30 aces.

Lily Mueller, soph., MB, Genoa-Kingston - It was a resurgent year for the Cogs, who finished 13-4, and Mueller was a huge part of that. In 14 matches, she had 105 kills and 23 blocks.

Sammie Abruzzo, sr., L, Kaneland - The all-conference selection served at an 96% clip for the conference champion Knights and had 110 digs. She’ll be playing for Purdue-Northwest in the fall.

Meghan O’Sullivan, jr., S, Kaneland - O’Sullivan had 250 assists and 69 digs for the Knights. She also had 23 aces and, even as the setter, 36 kills.
