The junior center started the week with 27 points and 16 rebounds on Tuesday, then capped the week with 20 and 27-point games in a home shootout Saturday. Porter on what was working for the Barbs on Saturday, picking up wins against Minooka and Normal West:

“I feel like our communication was really good the entire day. Our energy was also through the roof. Everything just gelled together and we went off.”

On her three 20-plus point performances last week:

“It was either I would get the rebound off teammates misses or I’d get an amazing pass from my teammates. It wasn’t just me putting it in but my teammates putting in work to get me there.”

On what the Barbs are capable of:

“A lot. We have so much room to not just improve but grow in general. We have all the chemistry, we just need to continue to have the same energy we had [Saturday] for all of our upcoming games.”
