Bears running back David Montgomery paid a surprise visit to Oswego East on Tuesday. In partnership with ReadyRefresh, a bottled water and beverage delivery service, Montgomery visited the school’s football team to talk about the importance of hydration.
Montgomery and ReadyRefresh surprised the school by donating $2,500 to the athletic department.

Montgomery, 24, was a third-round draft pick by the Bears in 2019. He has been the lead running back for the team ever since. He has talked in the past about changing his eating habits to maximize his potential as an athlete. Hydration is just as important.
Montgomery is currently on the Bears’ injured reserve list due to a knee injury. He hurt his knee on Oct. 3 against the Detroit Lions at Soldier Field. He is expected to be back on the field later this season.
