SOMONAUK - The Putnam County Panthers brought the thunder in today’s 1A regional baseball championship game, taking a 6-1 lead over Yorkville Christian and loading the bases in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Then Mother Nature brought the rain.
The game was suspended until 4:30 p.m. on Monday, resuming where it was left off.
The Panthers are the No. 2 seed, Yorkville No. 5.
