IVCC students take part in Ag Fall Field Day

Representatives from Stroller International’s Precision Farming present on Case IH’s technology

About 30 Illinois Valley Community College agriculture students and college officials attended the Ag Fall Field Day Friday in the college’s Agriculture Center.

The day included an agronomy presentation by University of Illinois Extension educator Russ Higgins and field demonstrations by ag program coordinators Caitlinn Hubbell and Willard Mott.

Jim Muhlstadt and Kelly Sullivan of Stoller International’s Precision Farming Department presented on Case IH’s precision software AFS Connect, the technology installed on tractors. IVCC is leasing a 2022 Case IH Magnum 620 Quad Trac and 2022 Case IH Magnum 400.

Sun Ag agronomist Montana Knoblauch discussed campus corn variety plots.
