Boys soccer: Serena can’t slow down speedy Quincy Notre Dame in 1A sectional semifinal loss

The Serena boys soccer team fell 9-2 to Quincy Nore Dame in the Class 1A Mendota Sectional semifinals on Wednesday night to end the season with a school-record 21 wins.

Regional Rally: Serena soccer leads first, but unbeaten Mendota brings home regional championship

Friday’s Class 1A regional boys soccer championship game at Serena High School placed the undefeated Mendota Trojans in unfamiliar territory, as they trailed for the majority of the contest before getting their offense untracked and dispatching the host Huskers, 5-1.
