Princeton senior Grady Thompson was named Second-Team All State by the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association, while teammate Teegan Davis was honorable mention. Putnam County's Jackson McDonald was voted Class 1A Third-Team All State by the IBCA.

St. Bede upset No.1 seed Marquette 61-57 in the Class 1A Regional semifinal on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2023 at Midland High School. The Bruins will play Midland at 7p.m. on Friday in the Regional final.
