Underground Railroad 5K set for Sept. 10

The Princeton Park District Board on Monday, Jan. 4, made a decision to hold off on making upgrades to the Jacuzzi inside the Bureau County Metro Center due to current financial concerns. The issue that the Jacuzzi is not ADA compliant was recently brought to the board's attention by a patron.

Registration is open for the 29th Annual Underground Railroad 5K set for Saturday, Sept. 10.

Registration is open for the 29th Annual Underground Railroad 5K set for Saturday, Sept. 10.

Entry fee is $25 by Aug. 30 and $30 after, available online at runsignup.com. Registration and packet pick-up will be held at 7 a.m. race day with the Kiddie Fun Run to follow at 8 a.m. and the 5K at 8:30 a.m.

The race will start and finish at the Bureau County Metro Center.
