2021 All-BCR Girls Track & Field Team

Jade Aber (Bureau Valley/Sr.) - The BCR Female Trackster of the Year became only Bureau Valley’s second state champion, winning the 1A triple crown. She led the Honor Roll with a mark of 36-6 1/4 and opened the Storm’s Honor Roll leading 4x200 relay.

Lauren Althaus (Amboy-LaMoille/Jr.) - The junior speedster from Amboy qualified for state in both the 200 and 400, topping the Honor Roll with times of 27.10 and 1:00.9.

McKenzie Hunt (Bureau Valley/So.) - The Storm sophomore topped all area runners in the 1600 with a time of 6:25.03.

Elly Jones (Amboy-LaMoille/Fr.) - The Amboy freshmen medaled in both the 100 and 300 hurdles at state and led the Honor Roll by far with times of 15.76 and 48.64.

Lexi Ketchum (Amboy-LaMoille/Fr.) - Another freshmen, Ketchum just edged Amboy teammate Althaus in the 800 with a time of 2:39.74.

Kamryn Kolb (Bureau Valley/Sr.) - The Storm standout landed one last state medal, placing sixth in Class 1A long jump. She led the Honor Roll at 17-8 1/2 and was among the leading sprinters and anchored the Storm’s top 4x200 relay.

Jenna Loftus (Princeton/Jr.) - The BCR co-Cross Country Runner of the Year went the distance as the Honor Roll leader in the 3200 (13:24.38) and was among the leaders in 800 and 1600.

Anna Lopez (St. Bede/So.) - In just her first year in high school track, the St. Bede sophomore qualified for state in the 100 and led the Honor Roll with a time of 13.22. She also anchored the Lady Bruins’ Honor Roll leading 4x100 relay.

Ashley Nordstrom (Bureau Valley/Jr.) - A vault of 7-0 1/2 lifted Nordstrom to the top of the Honor Roll in the pole vault.

Morgan Richards (Princeton/Fr.) - Richards led the young PHS weight crew with an area-best toss of 33-11 3/4 in the shot put, second in the discus (98-7).

Teghan Tillman (St. Bede/Sr.) - The Lady Bruins hoopster put her jumping ability to good use in track, qualifying for state in the high jump and leading the area with a jump of 5-0.

Brooke York (Bureau Valley/Sr.) - The Storm senior went out throwing, leading the honor roll with a 102-3 1/2 toss in the discus.

Relays

4x100 - St. Bede had the leading ladies for the 400 relay with state sprinter Anna Lopez anchoring for Macy Zeglis, Teghan Tillman and Krystal DeLatorre for a time of 52.95.

4x200 - Bureau Valley had a good finisher in its 800 relay in Kolb, who led the Storm to a state runner-up finish in 2018. She was joined by Aber, Lexi Marquez and Addison Wessel for a BCR best time of 1:56.03.

4x400 - The Amboy co-op had three state qualifiers - Althaus, L. Ketchum and Elly Jones - who teamed up with Brooklyn Whelchel for the top time in the 1600 relay of 4:31.07.

4x800 - Bureau Valley carried the 3200 relay (11:56.03) on the legs of McKenzie Hunt, Jillian Hulsing, Ellie Geldean, Ella Thacker.
