The Taste of Sandwich will spark appetites from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29.
The event gives local businesses and organizations an opportunity to set up food stands in the downtown parking lot across from Prindi’s Antiques, at the corner of Railroad and Main streets, and throughout the downtown area. Bite-size samples of food and treats are provided, a news release stated.
Entertainment tickets cost $5, and will be available at First Midwest Bank, Sandwich, one week before the event.
This event was canceled last year because of the pandemic. So this year more than ever, old friends, neighbors and new visitors are excited to enjoy good food and friendship, organizers announced.
On Thursday, Sept. 30, two large tents will house crafts from many local artists and crafters from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The tents will be directly across from Prindi’s Antiques, 2 E. Railroad St. Floral arrangements, jewelry, candles, metal, wood, clothing, seasonal decor and many more items will be available.
The event is sponsored and coordinated by Fox Valley Community Services. For information, call Betty Erickson at 815-786-9404. Vendor spaces are still available.
