Oregon boy follows in dad's tractor tracks

One of the Hinrich's garden tractors is a restored John Deere, painted in the company's John Deere "industrial yellow" that was used on its road construction tractors and equipment. The yellow paint color was never officially used on Deere garden tractors, however Andy Hinrichs' said he liked the look of the color and wanted to make one of his garden tractors stand out from the rest. The family enjoys sharing its collection of vintage garden tractors and even hosts a garden tractor jamboree once a year. This year's event will be Saturday at the Hinrichs' property in rural Oregon. (Michael Krabbenhoeft)
