Trick-or-treating will continue during Halloween 2020, even though it will look different throughout the Sauk Valley because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Communities across Carroll, Ogle, Lee and Whiteside Counties have announced times during which children and adults may participate in candy gathering, with many shortening that window to reduce the spread of the coronavirus.
State health officials announced on Sept. 30 that the state's Halloween health and safety guidelines still include urging people to wash their hands, watching their distance from others and to wear their face masks.
