5 month-old baby injured when boards fall off pick-up truck, strikes SUV in Oswego

A 5 month-old baby was injured at 12:21 p.m. Sept. 24 on Route 30 near Kendall Point Drive in Oswego when wooden boards fell off a pickup truck and struck an SUV that was following behind the pickup truck, village police said.

Police said the baby, who was a passenger in the SUV, was transported to Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora with unknown injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck, Miguel Gurrola Murga, 45, of Aurora, was arrested on charges of driving without a valid license and ticketed for spilling load on highway and load not secured.

Murga later posted bond and was released pending an Oct. 27 court appearance, according to police.
