Kendall County Sheriff’s reports

Attempted residential burglary

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 11:02 p.m. Sept. 14 in the 500 block of Creek Road in Little Rock Township for a report of an attempted residential burglary that had occurred. The incident is under investigation.

Disorderly conduct

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 9:25 p.m. Sept. 14 in the 0-99 block of Lyncliff Drive in Bristol Township for a report of disorderly conduct. This incident is under investigation.

Domestic battery

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at about 5:25 p.m. Sept. 14 in the 12000 block of Lisbon Road in Big Grove Township for a report of a domestic battery. The incident is under investigation.

Disorderly conduct

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at about 12:16 a.m. Sept. 14 in the 0-100 block of Lyncliff Drive in Bristol Township for a report of disorderly conduct. The investigation continues.

In-state warrant

Sheriff’s deputies were called at 7:41 p.m. Sept. 13 to the 9000 block of Route 34 in Bristol Township due to an unspecified incident. Contact was made with Samantha Jayne Jacobs, 37, of the 9000 block of Route 34, Yorkville, who was wanted on a Kendall County failure-to-appear warrant on a charge of retail theft, with a $2,000 bond, with 10% to apply. Jacobs was transported to the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville for processing.

Harassment via electronic communication

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 7:04 p.m. Sept. 13 in the 0-99 block of Circle Drive West in Boulder Hill for a report of harassment via electronic communication. The investigation continues.

Traffic crash with property damage

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 6:40 a.m. Sept. 14 for a report of a single-vehicle crash on Creek and Frazier roads in Little Rock Township. A vehicle driven by Katelyn Dillard, 29, of the 100 block of East Jones Street, Plano, ran off of the roadway and collided with a wooden fence.

DUI

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at about 3:42 p.m. Sept. 12 in the 0-99 block of Scarsdale Road in Boulder Hill for a three-vehicle crash. As a result of the investigation, Sergio E. Duran, 42, of Montgomery was arrested on a charge of DUI after allegedly striking a parked, unoccupied truck and pushing it into another parked unoccupied truck. Duran was cited for improper lane use, illegal transportation of open alcohol, possession of adult use cannabis in unapproved container and driving under the influence of alcohol.

Warrant arrest

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a disturbance call at about 9:29 a.m. Sept. 12 in the 0-99 block of Aldon Road in Boulder Hill. During the investigation, Samantha A. Sacckette, 29, of the same block, was arrested after police discovered she had a failure-to-appear warrant on a charge of driving while license suspended. Sheriff’s officials previously have declined comment on additional information related to driving while license suspended charges. Sacckette was taken to the Kendall County Jail.

Leaving the scene of an accident

Sheriff’s deputies started an investigation at about 5:27 a.m. Sept. 12 into a report that a vehicle had struck a fire hydrant overnight on Light Road west of Route 31 in Oswego Township, and the driver left the scene without notifying police. The matter remains under investigation.

Fraud

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 9:47 p.m. Sept. 11 at the sheriff’s public safety center in Yorkville for a report of fraud that had occurred in the 300 block of Meadow Lane in Big Grove Township. This incident is under investigation.

Aggravated battery

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 9:24 p.m. Sept. 11 for a report of a battery at the Kendall County Jail. After investigation, Jose Ricardo Martinez, 26, of the 4000 block of West Altgeld, Chicago, was charged with aggravated battery.

ID theft

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 8:57 p.m. Sept. 9 in the 0-99 block of South Linden Drive in Little Rock Township for a report of identity theft. The investigation continues.

Speeding

Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop at 8:28 a.m. Sept. 9 on Route 71 near Chicago Road in Newark for speeding. Robert Welter, 47, of the 2800 block of Hoffman Street, Plano, was cited for speeding 91 mph in a 55 mph zone.

Speeding

Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop at 10:21 p.m. Sept. 8 on Light Road near Anchor Drive in Oswego Township for speeding. Andrew W. Helmick, 22, of the 800 block of Hamlet Lane, Batavia, was cited for speeding 94 mph in a 45 mph zone.
