Farmers market season is back – check out Oswego Country Market

The Oswego Country Market saw more than 3,000 visitors on its opening in May 2018, with booths lining Main Street and the Village Grind parking lot in downtown Oswego.

The Oswegoland Park District’s Oswego Country Market returns to Main Street on Sunday, June 28.

With the health and safety of the community in mind, market staff are committed to the tradition of bringing great products and services to the community.

Based on the guidance provided by the Illinois Farmers Market Association and the Kendall County Health Department, the Oswego Country Market will be making the temporary shift toward an in-and-out-style market. Shoppers will follow a designated entrance and exit that establishes a one-way traffic flow through the market to visit favorite vendors.

Vendors and guests will be required to wear face masks, and maintain social distance of 6 feet, whenever possible. To minimize contact and touch points, vendors will be handling products for patrons. By utilizing proper social distancing and group management, the goal is to keep everyone healthy while enthusiastically welcoming everyone back.

The market team will be creating monthly Country Market To Go bundles of products for those who aren’t comfortable going downtown just yet. These can be ordered through Facebook links and picked up curbside at the Oswego Country Market.

This season’s lineup of vendors includes Albo Acres, Blue Freedom, Brit’s Sweet Treats, Carmelita’s Creations, Cutting Edge by the Blacksmith, E & S Fish Co., Everyday Essential Oils & 3 Lucky Dogs, Gallery’s Choice, Gandi the Juice Guru, Garlic Breath Farm, Gindo’s Spice of Life, Grumpy Gaucho, Hahn’s Bakery, Hufendick Farm, Jay’s Maize Kettle Corn, Lang’s Cookies, Papa’s Honey, Red Flower Organics, Six Generations Farming Local, Stamper Cheese Co., Sunset Growers, Sweet P’s Homemade Cookies, Tabletop Beanbag Games, Tranquility Base Candles & Diffusers, White Blossom Soaps and Windy Acres Farm.

For almost two decades, the Oswegoland Park District has been proud to make the Oswego Country Market an important part of summer in the community. It is happy to see that continue in 2020. Visit them from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday mornings from June 28 to Oct. 18. Week after week, market visitors will discover the charm of downtown Oswego. Stay informed about what the market has to offer each week by following the Park District on Facebook at facebook.com/OswegoCountryMarket.
