Domestic battery arrest

Oswego police arrested Joseph M. Baish, 37, of the 500 block of Lincoln Station Drive, Oswego, at 9:50 a.m. May 14 on a charge of domestic battery. Police said a 30-year-old woman was injured in the incident but was not transported to the hospital. Baish was taken to the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville pending court proceedings.

Suspect faces aggravated assault charge

Oswego police arrested Aleksandr A. Samoshkin, 66, of the 300 block of Springbrook Trail South at 11:36 p.m. May 17 at his residence on a charge of aggravated assault. Police said a 73-year-old woman was the uninjured victim in the incident. Police said Samoshkin was transported to the County Jail pending court proceedings.

Protection order violation arrest

Oswego police arrested Madilyn R. Gorges, 21, of the 100 block of West Main Street, Yorkville, at 2:41 p.m. May 14 in the 3900 block of Wolf’s Crossing Road on a charge of violation of an order protection. Police said the suspect was transported to the County Jail pending a bond hearing.

Hit-and-run reported on Route 25

Oswego police responded to a hit-and-run crash at 3:39 p.m. May 18 on Route 25 at Glendale Avenue. Police said an unknown motorist struck a road closure sign on the highway and left the scene without providing information. Damage to the sign was estimated at more than $350, police said.
