Kohl's stores in Oswego, Yorkville, nationwide shutdown to help slow virus spread

Kohl's stores in Oswego and Yorkville along with all other Kohl's stores nationwide are now temporarily closed as a result of the COVID-19 coronavirus emergency.

In an email sent to customers at 10 p.m. March 19, Kohl's Chief Executive Officer Michelle Gass said the retailer's stores will be closed through at least April 1 to support efforts to slow the spread of the coronavirus.

In addition, Gass said the retailer is providing two calendar weeks of pay to its store associates.

"I personally want to thank each Kohl's associate for their extra care in recent days to maintain a safe and healthy shopping environment for our customers. We look forward to welcoming our associates and customers back to our stores when we reopen."

Gass noted the retailer continues to serve its customers through its website at kohls.com.

The Kohl's store in Oswego is located at 2500 Route 34 in the Prairie Market shopping center, while the Yorkville Kohl's is located at 945 Erica Lane in the Kendall Marketplace shopping center.
