Granville National Bank executive will retire March 31

GRANVILLE — Lynn D. Stickel, executive vice president of the Granville National Bank, announces he will retire on March 31 after three decades of service.

After 30 years of providing exceptional service to the bank and the surrounding community, the longtime banker will step down. Stickel lives in Mark with his wife of 35 years, Jenny.

Although Stickel is retiring, he plans to remain active in the community. He also has plans to travel and spend time with family.

“I appreciate the support the staff, board of directors, and community has shown over the years,” Stickel said. “I will miss the daily interaction with the community and staff.”

Stickel graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture in 1977.

In November 1989, Stickel joined the Granville National Bank as assistant vice president with an emphasis on agricultural lending.

He has held the position of executive vice president since 2015.

While his day-to-day leadership will be missed, his influence will have a long-lasting effect. As an individual, his compassion for colleagues and customers alike capture Stickel’s approach and character.

During his tenure with the bank, Stickel has navigated through some the best and most challenging times in the industry. His commitment and contribution are evidenced by the success and growth of the bank.

The Board of Directors has named Michael J. Cummings as successor executive vice president.
