Ottawa

Lorenzo Upchurch, 30, Kankakee, was arrested Tuesday on the 400 block of West Norris Drive on complaints of driving while license suspended and no insurance. Upchurch was released with a court date.

Streator

A hit and run was reported about 4 p.m. Tuesday in the parking lot behind Ace Hardware, 404 E. Main St. A vehicle was struck while the owner was inside the vehicle. No information on the suspect vehicle or driver was available.

At 4:20 p.m. Tuesday, a vehicle parked at Kroger, 2399 N. Bloomington St., was reported damaged by a cart or unknown object.

La Salle County

Corey A. Hafer, 40, Streator, was arrested 3:22 p.m. Tuesday at his residence on the 300 block of West Morrell Street on a Lee County warrant for an aggravated criminal sexual abuse charge. Hafer was taken to the La Salle County Jail.

Fire calls

Streator firefighters responded 6:05 p.m. Tuesday to 1409 John St. for a natural gas leak. Nicor was notified.

At 7:31 p.m. Tuesday, Streator firefighters responded to 609 N. Everett St. for an alarm activated by cooking.

Streator firefighters responded to a report of a fire 10:36 p.m. Tuesday at 820 N. Shabbona St. There was no fire found.
