Clothing, textiles can be recycled in Kane County

Locations, times offered for textile recycling

GENEVA – Clothing and textiles can be brought to all Kane County electronic recycling events or electronic recycling drop-off locations, Kane County Recycling Coordinator Jennifer Jarland announced in a news release.

Items acceptable for recycling clean clothing, paired shoes, bedding, towels, and other household textiles in any condition as long as they are clean; toys, accessories, and purses.

Items that cannot be reused are turned into cleaning or painting rags, insulation, packing material or carpeting.

Items can be dropped off at the electronic recycling events next year from 8 a.m. to noon on April 11, April 25, May 9, June 13, July 11, Aug. 8, Sept. 12, Oct. 10 and Nov. 14 at 540 S. Randall Road, St. Charles.

Items can be dropped off from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at 517 E. Fabyan Parkway, Batavia.

Items can be dropped off from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday at West Dundee Public Works, 900 Angle Tarn, West Dundee.
