On Wednesday, November 13, 2019, Alicia Beckmeyer Springer, loving mother of one, passed away at age 49 in Louisville, KY at Norton Hospital, from pancreatic cancer. Alicia was born December 11, 1969 in Sandwich, IL to Gus Beckmeyer and Jerrylyn “Jeri” Johnson.

Alicia called many places across the country home over her lifetime, including Sheridan, IL, Las Vegas, NV, San Diego, CA, St. Petersburg, FL, and Louisville, KY. In each of these places her contagious energy, warm heart and brightness touched the lives of many people. Same as her mother, Alicia worked primarily as a realtor. She fully believed in the “work hard, play hard” motto; often closing a deal in the morning and ready to kayak, hike, paddleboard, or bike by afternoon. Her vibrant, kind spirit never faded during this battle and it will continue on through everyone that got to meet her.

Alicia Springer is survived by partner Jim Allen of Louisville, KY, her son Bryce Springer of Louisville, KY, father Gus Beckmeyer of Louisville, KY, step-father Stephen Johnson of Sheridan, IL, brother Charles Reed Beckmeyer and Angie Beckmeyer of Las Vegas, NV, brother Jesse Johnson and Mandy Johnson of Singapore, and sister Kristina Johnson and Anthony Sutliff of Chicago, IL, Aunt Sandy Novak of Frederick, CO, Aunt Karen Biroshik of Sheridan, IL, Aunt Debby Beckmeyer of Morriston, FL, and nephews Christian and Peter Beckmeyer of Las Vegas, NV.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jerrylyn Johnson, her grandparents G.R. Bob Beckmeyer and Alice Beckmeyer, Charles Johnson and Mildred Johnson, and Uncle Karl Beckmeyer.

Alicia requested no formal funeral, but instead, a celebration of life. Details for time and place will be shared at a future date.

Cremation took place and the cremains will be buried privately at the Sheridan Cemetery in Sheridan, IL at a later date. Cards may be sent to Alicia Springer, PO Box 269 Sheridan, IL.
