New Lenox School District 122 announces new superintendent

New Lenox School District 122 announced this week the hiring of its new superintendent.

After Superintendent Peggy Manville retires June 30, Lori Motsch will assume the role of superintendent on July 1, according to a letter from the school district.

At the District 122 Board meeting Tuesday, the board unanimously approved a three-year contract for Motsch.

“Dr. Motsch has shown her true leadership potential, fostering relationships with everyone in New Lenox School District 122 as well as organizations throughout the community,” Board President Rhonda Starklauf said. “We are fortunate and grateful to have found such a qualified, internal candidate.”

Motsch began her career as a kindergarten teacher 24 years ago and has since served as an assistant principal, principal and director of personnel in the district.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Illinois State University, a master’s degree in education from the University of St. Francis and a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of St. Francis.
