Burger King is the latest fast food restaurant eyeing a location on Orchard Road in Oswego.
The village's planning and zoning commission is scheduled to review a final development agreement for the construction of a Burger King at 3439 Orchard Road when they gather for their next meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5 at Village Hall, 100 Parkers Mill.
As proposed, the 2,850 square foot Burger King would be located on a vacant 2.79 acre outlot in front of the existing Jewel-Osco store.
Project developers, KV & Sons, LLC, are also proposing to construct a second multi-tenant commercial building immediately south of the Burger King. The single-story building would have 8,200 square feet of floor space.
In a memo to the commission, Natalie Zine, a village planner, said village staff is recommding approval of the project, subject to some conditions.
The commission will render an advisory recommendation on the project to the Village Board. The Board will, in turn, cast the final ballot.
