An Ottawa man was charged with battery after attacking others with a hammer on Monday.
Logan G. Massey, 18, Ottawa, was charged Tuesday morning with aggravated battery for use of a deadly weapon, domestic battery for causing bodily harm and battery for making physical contact, according to court records.
Ottawa police responded just before 4 p.m on Monday to 513 W. Norris Drive (U.S. 6) for a domestic incident.
Ottawa Police Det. Sgt. Kyle Booras said police responded to the scene for a complaint of an individual striking someone with a hammer resulting in injuries.
Following an investigation, Massey was taken to the county jail Monday night.
Massey did not have legal representation during his Tuesday morning court appearance but said he will seek private counsel, according to court documents.
Bond was set at $2,500.
