Lemont school wins scholastic bowl

St. Alphonsus / St. Patrick School won Nazareth Academy Scholastic Bowl. The school sent two teams to the seventh-grade scholastic bowl on Feb. 6.

They competed against 16 area teams at the scholastic bowl.

Both of the school's teams advanced to the final round.

St. Alphonsus/St. Patrick school walked away with a first and second place finish.

The students answered questions in science, math, literature, social studies, fine arts and a miscellaneous section that covered topics from movies and TV shows.

Team members include Max Schuette, Maddie Skwarek, Tess O’Brien, Matthew Ondracek, Lia Alfonso,Maia Sanchez, Drea Sarno.
