A Canadian National Railway dispatcher chief has been arrested on charges alleging he sexually assaulted and abused a girl, according to court records.
Shortly after 8 p.m. Thursday, Michael A. Takacs, 24, of the 300 block of Mallards Cove in Beecher was arrested on charges of criminal sexual assault, criminal sexual abuse, aggravated criminal sexual abuse and battery.
Takacs’ arrest was the result of a Will County Sheriff’s Office investigation, according to court records.
A criminal complaint alleges Takacs sexually assaulted and abused a girl. Takacs “held a position of trust, authority or supervision” over the girl, who he sexually assaulted “by the use of force or threat of force,” the complaint said.
The offenses took place on April 1 and between July 1, 2018, and Aug. 31.
The most serious charge Takacs faces is criminal sexual assault, a class 1 felony that is punishable by between four to 15 years in prison and a fine of up to $25,000.
Will County Judge Fred Harvey signed a warrant for Takacs’ arrest on Thursday. The warrant carried a $500,000 bond.
Takacs is a Canadian National Railway employee, according to the warrant.
His Facebook profile said he is a dispatcher chief for the company and that he attended Beecher High School between 2009 and 2013.
“Watch out women…..I’m out and about,” Takacs wrote in a June 5 public post on Facebook.
