Police blotter 6-18-19

Ottawa

Ashley N. McFadden, 34, Granville, was arrested Monday on the 1300 block of West Main Street on complaints of driving while license suspended and loud exhaust. McFadden was released with a court date.

David A. Downey, 33, Peru, was arrested Friday at the police station on a complaint of criminal damage to property. Downey posted $150 and was released with a court date.

Bryon Besse, 44, Ottawa, was arrested Sunday at Columbus and Kain streets on complaints of DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, no valid driver's license and improper lane usage. He posted $300 and was released with a court date.

Streator

Police referred a stolen vehicle report taken 11:48 a.m. Monday at the police station to another agency.

Fire calls

At 7:40 a.m. Monday, Ottawa firefighters responded to 1560 First St. for what ended up being a faulty alarm. Firefighters notified the alarm company.

Ottawa firefighters responded 3:15 p.m. Saturday for a gas spill at 3074 Route 71. A semi trailer unloading the gas overflowed, but the driver had it cleaned up by the time firefighters arrived.
